Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Jason Z. Brainer has joined the firm’s Troy office as Of Counsel.
Jason is a litigation attorney focusing his practice on creditor rights, government, corporate and nonprofit law. His legal experience spans both the private and public sectors. Jason has experience in the areas of international business development, risk, compliance, contract negotiation, and government relations. Prior to joining DW, Jason represented major banks in complex litigation and disputes. He also served as a transactional, non-profit, criminal defense and bankruptcy attorney, an international business development specialist in Latin America and Southeast Asia, and was a former U.S. diplomat who specialized in Cyber, North Korean, and Counterterrorism matters. Jason is also fluent in Spanish and has used his language proficiency in the practice of law and business development.
Jason received his B.S. from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law where he graduated with Cum Laude Honors and also served on the Student Bar Association.
Jason enjoys spending time with family, coaching youth hockey, running, kayaking, biking, and riding his motorcycle.
