Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Tripp Lake has joined the firm’s Denver office as a Member.
Tripp is a trial lawyer focusing his practice in the areas of intellectual property and commercial litigation for over fifteen years. He has tried more than 70 jury trials to verdict, over 65 as lead counsel. In addition, Tripp has served as lead counsel for clients in patent and trade secret cases involving medical devices, LED applications, electrical systems, fluidics and biomechanics of small particles, and mechanical devices. He has also represented clients in trademark and copyright cases, and tried complex commercial litigation involving interpretation and application of intellectual property licensing, services agreements, and other commercial agreements. Tripp also handles intellectual property licensing and applies hard-won experience from litigation to his review and advocacy related to licensing matters.
In the intellectual property community, Tripp is a recognized leader in developing policy around practical application of Generative AI. He was asked to take a founding role and lead the legal and policy considerations within the Digital Globalization Consortium, an international consortium of business and government entities building an architecture and policy framework for a new AI, and he acts as an adviser to growth stage companies advancing novel technologies in a broad array of subjects.
Tripp is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado State Bar Association, the Colorado Center for Legal Inclusiveness, and a Board Member of the German American Chamber of Commerce. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America. Tripp received his J.D. from the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law.
