Tripp Lake is a seasoned trial lawyer with a focus on intellectual property and commercial litigation. His career is highlighted by successfully leading over 70 jury trials to verdict, including approximately 65 as the primary attorney.

His legal proficiency is evident in his representation of clients in complex patent and trade secret litigation across various fields, including medical devices, LED technology, electrical systems, fluid dynamics, and mechanical engineering. Tripp also has a significant track record in managing trademark and copyright disputes, as well as complex commercial litigation involving the interpretation of comprehensive business agreements.

Tripp employs his extensive litigation background in intellectual property licensing, providing strategic guidance and advocacy.   • Obtained a preliminary injunction in a trademark case, shutting down an infringing competitor and obtaining a favorable judgment.
  • Obtained summary judgment for a client in a trade secret case, proving claimed secrets were not owned by the Plaintiff.
  • Successfully resolved trademark and unfair competition claims with confessed injunction against opposing party from using ad words in SEO-based trademark dispute.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of manufacturing client in a trade dress case, demonstrating that the claimed trade dress was functional, and thus not qualified for trade dress protection.
  • Defeated a preliminary injunction in a trade secret and Lanham Act case with over $10 Million in damages at stake.
  • Obtained a jury verdict in a contract case for an independent contractor who managed an international mining company’s global IT system.
  • Defended a client in a three-week jury trial with over $180 Million at stake, defending infringement claims for eleven patents, with counterclaims sounding in breach of contract and equity, which resulted in finding unclean hands against the plaintiff, and the client was able to continue operating with an ongoing royalty.
