Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that it has opened an office in San Diego, where an elite Life Sciences/Intellectual Property team led by Jing Liu, Ph.D., is based. A Computer Software/Intellectual Property team led by Hector Agdeppa and based in San Diego joined the firm earlier this year. The San Diego office is the second location for Dickinson Wright in California, following the opening of its Silicon Valley office in 2018.
Jing Liu, Ph.D. joins Dickinson Wright as a Member and Chair of the Life Sciences Practice Group. Jing is named as a Leading Life Sciences Lawyer - Intellectual Property (Patent Prosecution) by LMG Life Sciences (2021-2024), and has been recognized by San Diego Business Journal as a Leader of Influence in Life Sciences (2023-2024) and Top Leader in Law (2023). Also joining Dickinson Wright as Members are Life Sciences/Intellectual Property Attorneys Paul Chang, Ph.D. and Marc Chatenay-Lapointe, Ph.D. Additional patent practitioners in Jing Liu’s team are Jiancong Xu, Ph.D., Yu Pan, Ph.D., Lun-cong Dong, PhD, and Katherine McCulloch, Ph.D. They join Hector Agdeppa (Member), Melissa Patterson (Member), and Mark Catanese (Of Counsel), who started at the firm earlier this year.
