Dr. Liu represents academic institutions, emerging and fast-growing companies, multinational corporations, and investors. Dr. Liu's legal experience, combined with her background in life sciences, allow her to provide tailored services and implement strategies to best protect her clients’ interests and their valuable IP. Dr. Liu focuses on patent prosecution, strategic counseling on patent infringement, validity issues, IP asset procurement and management, clearance investigations, IP landscape and due diligence studies, and licensing and collaboration strategies for life sciences companies.
Dr. Liu’s clients rely on her to safeguard their innovations across various life science technologies. Her experience spans biotechnology, including biologic therapeutics, oncology, gene therapy, microbiome-based technologies, genomics, and bioinformatics, as well as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, personal care products, and nanotechnology. She is dedicated to aligning IP strategies with her clients’ business goals, ensuring their innovations are not only protected but also serve their broader objectives.
Dr. Liu earned her Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2005.
