William V. Vorys

Member

Will Vorys focuses his practice primarily on government relations and administrative law, advocating public policy at the Ohio statehouse and assisting clients with regulatory compliance.  He brings over ten years of experience lobbying members of the legislature, the Governor’s office, and administrative officials on a wide range of complex legislative issues.

Will represents all manner of interests before the Ohio General Assembly and state Executive Agencies.  He tends to focus on education law and has represented secondary schools, post-secondary institutions, and other education stakeholders on different government relations and policy initiatives.  He also has significant experience in the workforce, energy, business, and healthcare sectors, having represented dozens of international companies, national and statewide trade associations, and smaller local not-for-profit institutions.

Throughout his career Will has developed an in-depth understanding of Ohio’s budget processes and often assists clients seeking state funding for their capital needs or policy goals.  

Will and his wife Mary reside in Gahanna, Ohio with their three children and golden retriever.

  • Provides lobbying and government relations services to an international social media company, a major national brewer with an Ohio manufacturing facility, and several large energy companies.
  • Advocates for a mission-based non-profit organization that honors prominent inventors, providing comprehensive government relations services.
  • Represented an energy trade association amicus curiae before the Ohio Supreme Court regarding issues of importance to the state’s business community.
  • Represented a power generation development and operations company in two pivotal matters: facilitating the development and tax equity financing of a utility-scale solar energy project, which involved securing agreements with multiple pipeline owners and a mining operation, and managing the permitting, transfer, and construction of a 150 MW utility-scale solar energy project.
