Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Peter Flanagan has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as Of Counsel.
Mr. Flanagan focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. He has primarily assisted clients in patent preparation and prosecution. He has prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a broad spectrum of technologies, including cellular communication, robotics, computer hardware and software, control systems, communication systems, power electronics, electrochemical devices, semiconductors, mechanical systems, brain surgery, financial technology, industrial systems and medical devices.
Mr. Flanagan has assisted clients in a wide range of intellectual property transactions including: preparing and prosecuting patent applications, including provisional and non-provisional utility patent applications, re-issue patent applications, and design patent applications; protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights such as trademarks and patents; analyzing infringement and validity of US patents; and analyzing patent portfolios for design around opportunities.
Mr. Flanagan is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Flanagan received his B.S.E.E. from Grove City College and his J.D. from George Mason University.
