Leslee Lewis Named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly 2023 Leaders in the Law

Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Leslee Lewis (Member, Grand Rapids) has been named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2023 Leaders in the Law.
Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s Leaders in the Law recognizes Michigan attorneys who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of law in Michigan and set an example for other lawyers. They have shown tremendous leadership and offer a wealth of expertise in diverse areas of the law. The Class of 2023 Leaders in the Law will be profiled in a special section of the December 18th issue of Michigan Lawyers Weekly. “I am honored to be selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a member of their 2023 Leaders in the Law Class. This list is filled with such talented and accomplished attorneys,” said Leslee, “I am most grateful for the support of my team at Dickinson Wright and my family, who together fill my days with joy and laughter.”
Leslee is a Member in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, where she serves as general corporate and real estate counsel to national, regional and emergent businesses and nonprofits in daily contracts and affairs, organization, financing, transactions and governance. She is also counsel to clean energy, battery storage, and waste to value developers and lenders groups in all real estate, development, acquisition, financing, power purchase, opinion, contract, diligence and regulatory aspects of development, including projects involving the largest public and largest independent renewables developers in North America, and the largest solar and wind farms in Michigan.
Leslee serves on the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, is managing partner of the firm’s Grand Rapids office, serves on its Governing Board, leads its Nonprofit Task Force, and is former Practice Department Manager for the firm’s Real Estate, Environmental, Energy & Sustainability practice group. She also serves on the Zeeland Education Foundation Board, Goodwill Facilities Committee, is Chair Emeritus/Past President of West Michigan Learning Disabilities Foundation, and past Dwelling Place Transitional Housing Council member. She is recognized as a leader in her field by Best Lawyers in America (Lawyer of the Year, 2022), Super Lawyers, and Chambers USA. She is an elected fellow of ALI, American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and Counselors of Real Estate, serves as Treasurer of the Michigan State Bar Real Property Law Section Council, a National Editorial Board Member for Practical Real Estate Lawyer, and a founding member of CREW West Michigan. Leslee received her B.A. from Alma College and her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.
