Charles Brecker and Adam Richards were recently quoted in the Daily Business Review article, “South Florida Real Estate Lawyers See More Deals Flow, But Concerns Linger,” discussing the uncertainty of the state’s market and what the future will bring in the face of rising deals and potential incentives. When detailing the rise in disputes regarding out-of-state developers and Florida licensing, Adam states, “I'm seeing issues during the middle of a project…because construction executives are coming into the state and utilizing their contacts and their experience to sign up projects. But they are doing so without truly grasping what's necessary under Florida law when it comes to licensing.” Additionally, Charles highlights the initial optimism regarding the Live Local Act, stating, “I was very optimistic thinking this should be a really fluid way of encouraging new developments. However, there's a couple of bumps in the road that have taken place that have changed that matrix.”
