Phoenix Lawyer Gregory Cahill was quoted in the Construction Dive article titled, “The Dotted Line: What contractors need to know about arbitration”.
The article explains the arbitration process for contractors, and their options in resolving legal disputes. “To assume that mediation and arbitration have much in common is a big mistake,” said Mr. Cahill.
“I think the misconception is it’s just going to be so much cheaper and quicker than litigation. The reason to go to arbitration is to have the dispute resolved in front of knowledgeable, experienced professionals. It is a substitute for litigation and [the goal is] to get a fair, rational resolution based on the law. You can’t speed that up.”
