Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Daniel T. Austin has joined the firm’s Austin office as a Member.
Dan advises companies, investors, and individuals in connection with a wide variety of business transactions and corporate governance matters. He has a wealth of experience helping clients raise capital, negotiating and drafting transaction agreements, and advising clients on an array of complex commercial transactions, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings. Before joining Dickinson Wright, he served as General Counsel, Vice President and Corporate Secretary of Life by Spot Inc., a venture capital-backed InsurTech company based in Austin.
Prior to starting work in the private sector, Mr. Austin served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Barbara Lynn, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas, and to the Honorable Royce C. Lamberth, U.S. District Court, District of Columbia in Washington, D.C. He is also a former Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army. Dan received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
