Shannon Nichols has extensive commercial real estate and corporate experience, having represented clients in private practice and as in-house counsel for MSX International and Kmart Corporation. In the course of that work, she has represented companies in their acquisition and disposition of various assets, including significant real estate assets, negotiated hundreds of commercial leases, and assisted real estate developers with a variety of corporate, regulatory, and real estate matters, regularly handling due diligence and closing for real estate transactions with values in excess of $50 million. She also has significant experience in all aspects of real estate finance, including loan originations, modifications and workouts. Shannon is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and Alma College.

- Facilitated the documentation and closure of a $75 million acquisition loan secured by real estate assets, including an auto dealership and other properties.
- Provided comprehensive support to a client in developing loan documents and managing the ongoing closing process for a portfolio of loans exceeding $100 million, primarily focused on financing energy construction and permanent financing for solar farm development.
- Prepared and oversaw the recording of assignments for real estate loans secured by deeds of trust and mortgages across multiple states, as part of transferring certain assets to a new entity.
