Mark H. Rogge

Mark Rogge focuses on intellectual property litigation, practicing out of the firm’s Silicon Valley office. He has a decade of experience with software patents, including patent applications and prosecution, licensing agreements, and software subscription agreements. His clients consist of tech companies and startups, particularly those working in cloud-based technology. Previously, he was in-house counsel to a startup that provided software to enable cloud computing.

Prior to law school, Mr. Rogge served in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Warfare Officer.

  • Retained by an innovator and market leader in the field of pick-up truck folding bed covers and other truck accessories on a patent infringement complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC) on behalf of three subsidiaries against 21 domestic and Chinese respondents alleging infringement of seven patents.
  • Represented a technology and entertainment company as the complainant in an investigation in the ITC, alleging infringement of two client patents related to remote control technology by other technology manufacturers. Successful on multiple key disputed issues including infringement, importation, and standing.
  • Supported a major digital media and electronics company as the patent owner in an IPR proceeding challenging the validity of one of the client patents.
  • Defended a major technology company in a five-patent case related to video coding and display technology.
  • Retained by an innovator and market leader in the field of pick-up truck folding bed covers and other truck accessories on a patent infringement complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC) on behalf of three subsidiaries against 21 domestic and Chinese respondents alleging infringement of seven patents.
  • Represented plaintiff packaging company in infringement suit in the Northern District of California.
  • Served as counsel to a Taiwan-based semiconductor company in patent infringement matters currently pending in the Eastern District of Texas and Northern District of California.
