Lydia is an associate in Dickinson Wright’s Toronto office. She maintains a broad corporate and commercial practice with a focus on domestic and cross-border public and private company mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and corporate governance. She is an ardent advocate for her clients; providing practical legal advice tailored to achieve their unique business goals.

Prior to joining Dickinson Wright as an associate, Lydia practiced within the Litigation Practice Group at a leading regional firm and later worked at an international firm where she gained invaluable experience within the firm’s transactional practice groups. During law school, Lydia was a Clinic Supervisor at Western Law’s Community Legal Services.

  • Represented a major international bank as lenders in financing for an affiliated group of appliance repair parts companies.
  • Represented a major North American bank and a leading independent financial services firm as lead underwriters in a deal offering approximately $30,000,000 in common shares for a manufacturer and supplier of high-volume graphene powder
  • Represented a holdings company as agent in an at-the-market offering of common shares for a smart building solutions company.
  • Represented a leading independent wealth management and capital markets firm and led the agent team handling the private placement of common shares for an owner and landlord of several hundred single-family homes.
  • Acted on behalf of the agents in a reverse takeover financing transaction for a global flame retardant manufacturer, involving subscription receipts that will convert into common shares upon completion of the qualifying transaction.
  • Represented the sole agent and book-runner in a marketed public offering, including the full exercise of the over-allotment option granted to the agent.
