Kevin Everage is an Intellectual Property and Sports & Entertainment attorney in Dickinson Wright’s Las Vegas office. Kevin focuses his practice on patent and trademark law, specifically in litigation and prosecution. He represents clients of all sizes – from multi-billion dollar businesses and world-famous entertainment figures, to family-owned startups and garage inventors.

What sets Kevin apart is his background of real-world industry experience and first-hand knowledge about federal administrative procedures, resulting in a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in intellectual property. His steadfast commitment to safeguarding innovation aligns perfectly with his proactive approach in counseling clients on strategically adapting to evolving legal frameworks. It comes as no surprise that Kevin’s IP clientele includes other lawyers and law firms.

Kevin's passion for intellectual property law began as an undergraduate intern for prosthetics research and microbiology laboratories. He then gained invaluable insight into the patent examination process during his tenure as a patent examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Additionally, his experiences as a patent agent for a prominent Las Vegas-based designer and operator of highly-rated data center ecosystems, and as an entrepreneur himself, continue to enrich his practice today.

In addition to representing the interests of established individuals and entities, Kevin’s practice extends to guiding emerging businesses through technology transactions, and identifying and protecting valuable intellectual property rights during a business’s early-creation phase. With a commitment to understanding his clients' unique needs, Kevin provides strategic counsel and zealous advocacy, building lasting partnerships based on trust and reliability.

Outside his legal work, Kevin actively contributes to legal discussions, staying abreast of industry developments, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of intellectual property law.
