Julie has over 30 years of legal experience with her focus since 2004 being the prosecution and enforcement of foreign and domestic trademarks. Her skills include drafting, preparing and filing trademark documents, coordinating with foreign counsel on international trademark filings, facilitating transfers of ownership, maintaining trademark dockets, managing trademark portfolios, researching potential infringements of clients' intellectual property rights, and assisting with Trademark Trial and Appeal Board appeals, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and U.S. Copyright Office appeals and requests for reconsideration. Julie interfaces with clients and foreign counsel from the pre-application stage through the maintenance of registrations, while keeping abreast of current domestic and international trademark laws and procedures. Prior to her involvement in the field of intellectual property, she worked in several areas of law, including bankruptcy, estate planning, family law, criminal law and construction defect litigation.
