Brian R. Irvine is a member in the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on areas of litigation, construction, banking, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and he is skilled in every aspect of the negotiation process. Mr. Irvine has recently specialized in very large commercial litigation and has participated in two of the biggest trials in Northern Nevada in the past four years. He recently obtained a judgment in excess of $100 million in claims for fraud and misrepresentation following an eight-week trial.

Obtained injunctive relief on behalf of food distribution client against a competitor and several of the client’s former employees based upon non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. Successfully negotiated settlement to preserve client’s customer list.
Successfully represented one of the Big Three automobile manufacturers in dozens of product liability cases involving several different vehicle models.
Obtained successful settlement for Northern Nevada governmental entity in case involving property damage caused by defective product.
Obtained defense verdict for Lake Tahoe casino in action brought by former tenant for wrongful termination of a lease.
Obtained a judgment for the largest gas station and convenience store operator in Nevada in excess of $100 million on claims for fraud and misrepresentation after an eight-week trial, with the court awarding both compensatory and punitive damages.
Obtained defense verdict at arbitration for chain of drug stores brought by a customer who claimed he was injured by store security, and successfully affirmed arbitration verdict before Nevada Supreme Court.
