Brandon L. Debus is a member of Dickinson Wright PLLC, where he counsels and advises established businesses and startups across a variety of industries including, without limitation, automotive, real estate, construction, all-risk insurance, software development, retail sales and more ranging from routine operational needs to complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

While Brandon routinely acts as outside general counsel, providing practical and efficient legal advice to clients regarding day-to-day operations and challenges, Brandon has also been an integral member of the firm’s commercial litigation group since 2016. Brandon’s litigation practice focuses on a broad spectrum of commercial litigation services and he is perennially recognized as a Michigan Top Lawyer in his field. Brandon has successfully represented business and individuals in a wide range of complex legal disputes including nine-figure commercial liability insurance defense, trade secret and IP litigation, retail cannabis litigation, business torts, shareholder and closed corporate disputes, domestic and international arbitrations, commercial real estate and construction disputes, and even sensitive internal investigations.

Brandon handles all aspects of trial and appellate matters, regularly appearing in state and federal courts throughout the state and nationally.

  • Supported 36th District Court in reference to a putative class action in federal court which was successfully dismissed and resolved after strategic motion practice, obtaining a stay, and years of negotiation.
  • Successfully represented client in a dispute brought by a neighbor; the individuals owned multi-million dollar homes next to each other.
  • Represented an insurance provider group as their national counsel regarding coverage actions seeking business-interruption and civil-authority insurance proceeds related to the coronavirus pandemic.
