Benjamin Bloom, a partner in Dickinson Wright’s Toronto office, handles mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general commercial matters. His primary focus involves working extensively with private equity funds and other institutional business acquirers. Ben holds extensive experience in advising clients on the purchase, sale, and financing of health care sector businesses. Notably, he has negotiated and managed numerous transactions involving pharmacies, dental clinics, hearing aid clinics, and chiropractic clinics. One of his key clients has benefited from Ben’s guidance in the acquisition of over 270 pharmacies!

Additionally, Ben routinely collaborates with information technology product and service suppliers. He excels in structuring agreements related to technology development, licensing, subscription agreements, and intellectual property sales. Furthermore, he advises clients on matters concerning Canada’s privacy and anti-spam legislation (CASL).

Before entering the field of corporate law, Ben gained valuable experience in corporate strategy and finance roles. Leveraging this background, he deeply understands his clients’ businesses and industries, offering practical advice to efficiently achieve their objectives.

Away from the office, Ben enjoys cycling up to cottage country, going for a leisurely run, or trying new restaurants around the city.
