Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Venroy July (Member, Washington, D.C.) has been named a 2021 Black Leaders Worth Watching™ by Profiles in Diversity Journal.
Black Leaders Worth Watching™ honors outstanding leaders within various fields who demonstrate their leadership through their careers, mentoring and supporting the next generation, and their commitment to the larger community. Each honoree will be profiled in an upcoming issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal, which will be available online in December at www.diversityjournal.com.
Venroy brings a breadth of experience, assisting clients at all stages of the life cycle from formation to fundraising to acquisition and/or exit. He has represented companies, both private and public, operating in the transportation, Information Technology, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, government contracting, cybersecurity, banking and technology industries on an array of matters including equity and asset sales and purchases, leveraged buy-outs, restructurings, debt offerings, and licensing transactions. He also regularly helps clients with other business needs, including various forms of loan transactions, compliance with U.S. securities laws and general commercial matters. In addition, he has written extensively on, and is a sought after speaker regarding the Opportunity Zone law legislation.
Venroy is a member of the Board of Directors of LifeBridge Health, Grace Medical Center, and the East Baltimore Development Inc. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America, Maryland Super Lawyers and has been named “Who’s Who in the Law” by the Baltimore Business Journal, “40 Under 40” by Black Business Review and the National Bar Association. He is a Morehead-Cain Scholar and participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellowship Program. Venroy received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
