Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Stephanie E. Kaiser has joined the firm’s Austin office as a Member.
As a litigator, Stephanie’s practice encompasses complex matters involving bankruptcy and adversary proceedings, antitrust, intellectual property disputes, and regulatory proceedings. She has developed a reputation for successfully representing clients in bet-the-company and high-profile cases ranging from fraud, breach of contract and fiduciary duties, workplace disputes and personnel matters, Lanham allegations, and lease disputes. Stephanie has particular experience representing creditors in a variety of troubled commercial loan and consumer finance disputes. She has handled matters related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act, as well as those related to consumer protection laws, the Dodd-Frank Act, and potential regulatory enforcement actions.
In addition to being a litigator, Stephanie is a trusted business advisor and board consultant and is often engaged to advise boards, management, and employees alike with regard to corporate governance, fiduciary duties, and conflicts of interest. Stephanie routinely represents clients with regard to regulatory examinations and audits and is trusted by many to perform internal reviews and investigations, including matters impacting safety and soundness.
Stephanie is recognized as a leader in her field by Chambers USA, Austin Monthly, Thomson Reuters, Fort Worth Magazine, and Fort Worth Business Press. She is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. She is a Master member of the Robert W. Calvert American Inn of Court, where she also served on the Executive Committee and as its president, and has served on two State Bar of Texas planning committees and one professional association planning committee. Stephanie received her B.A. from Texas Christian University, Summa Cum Laude, and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
