Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Kristen Hudson has joined the firm’s Austin and Chicago offices as Of Counsel.
Kristen represents businesses and business people in complex commercial litigation, and has won high-stakes legal challenges in state, federal, and appellate courtrooms across the nation. Kristen has successful experience in matters ranging from contract disputes, business torts and fraud to the protection of trade secrets, intellectual property rights, and privacy.
Kristen is knowledgeable about commercial insurance policies of all kinds, including directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, commercial general liability, products liability, cyber liability, among other policies. Kristen has successfully represented policyholders in recovering millions of dollars in insurance proceeds, including the successful prosecution of rights to indemnification for officers and directors in Delaware Chancery Court. Most recently, Kristen has represented insurance companies as coverage and monitoring counsel.
Kristen is also well-versed in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. She is a commercial and consumer arbitrator listed on the American Arbitration Association’s National Roster of Arbitrators.
Kristen is recognized for her excellence in the legal community by her peers, including recognition in Illinois Super Lawyers and Texas Super Lawyers. She is an elected Fellow of The Litigation Counsel of America and the American Bar Foundation. She is a member of the Hearing Board for the Illinois Supreme Court’s Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association. Kristen received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from UIC Law School.
