Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Cole Lussier has joined the firm’s Lansing office as Of Counsel. Cole most recently served as General Counsel for the Michigan Senate, where he managed litigation, provided legal advice regarding potential legislation and the legislative process, and served as chief legal advisor to the Senate majority leader.
Cole’s practice focuses on government affairs, regulatory matters, and litigation. He has particular expertise regarding legislative issues and also assists clients with matters before regulatory and enforcement agencies. During Cole’s time at the Senate, he worked on legislation involving election law, economic development, health policy, appropriations, and many other issues. He is an experienced litigator who advocates for clients, at all stages, in a range of matters from high-profile constitutional challenges to state law to commercial cases. Cole received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A from Michigan State University’s James Madison College.
