Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Hector Agdeppa has joined the firm’s Silicon Valley office as a Member.
Hector focuses his practice on intellectual property. He specializes in patent preparation and prosecution in the electrical, mechanical, and computer software arts, as well as in the medical device field, and he is well-versed in the management and monetization of patent portfolios. He is experienced in inter partes review proceedings, tech transfer and licensing, IP due diligence, and opinion/freedom to operate assessments. He also provides patent litigation support for various clients, large and small, covering a broad range of industries.
Hector’s technical experience involves a wide range of areas, including wireless and data communications/networking; multimedia delivery and video coding; AI/ML; enhanced reality; enterprise SaaS; edge/cloud computing; photonics; autonomous driving and other automotive technologies; biologics/drug delivery software; as well as electro-mechanical and mechanical devices for various applications.
Hector is a member of the Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego, the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego, and the Intellectual Property Owners Association. He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.
