With profound sorrow, we honor Jennifer Ko Craft, a cherished colleague, equity member, and celebrated IP attorney, who passed away peacefully this weekend after a courageous battle with metastatic liver cancer.
Jennifer was a luminary in the field of intellectual property law—an AV Preeminent® attorney recognized by Martindale-Hubbell and ranked Band 1 in Chambers USA for Intellectual Property. As co-lead of our Media, Sports & Entertainment practice in Las Vegas, she represented a wide range of high-profile celebrities and brands, protecting, licensing, and enforcing their trademarks, copyrights, and media rights.
Before joining the firm, Jennifer held senior in-house counsel roles advising on complex intellectual property and media matters. This experience laid the groundwork for a remarkable career defined by global reach, strategic insight, and unmatched legal acumen. She expertly managed international IP portfolios, negotiated high-stakes licensing deals, and resolved disputes before the USPTO, WIPO, and TTAB. Her many accolades speak to the breadth of her impact on the legal community: Top 250 Women in IP, National Law Journal Trailblazer, West Trailblazer by The American Lawyer (2021), and repeated recognition in Best Lawyers in America, the WTR 1000, and Super Lawyers.
Jennifer was deeply admired for her leadership as a Practice Group Chair, Governing Board member, mentor, and speaker. She shared her knowledge widely—whether presenting at the ABA and INTA, teaching at universities, or contributing to leading publications like IP Watchdog and Law360.
Though our hearts ache, we celebrate Jennifer’s extraordinary legacy at Dickinson Wright: a brilliant lawyer, a compassionate colleague, a devoted leader, and a treasured friend. Her intellect, integrity, and warmth uplifted our community and inspired all who had the privilege of working with her.
